Restorative Education

This training will provide an overview of Restorative Practices and its implementation in a school setting.  Participants will gain knowledge of how teachers and administrators can use the components of Restorative Practices to develop consistent language and routines for students to form connections and a strong sense of community within the classroom and school building.  Participants will learn the basics of leading Circles as a method to promote Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and teach skills such as empathy, communication, and problem solving.  Discussion will focus on implications of students and teachers returning to learning either in person, virtual or a combination and how restorative practices can be an important component of giving every student a voice and preparing them for learning.
